Help
The questions we are asked most. If yours is not here, tell us and we will answer it and add it.
My QR code will not scan
Almost always one of three things. The code was printed smaller than about an inch and a quarter, so there is not enough detail for a camera. It was printed in a brand colour rather than black, which phones struggle with. Or the white border was trimmed off, and that border is part of the code rather than packaging around it.
Print the pack from your dashboard at 100%, not fit to page, and it will be right. If it still fails, type the six characters from the card into your browser after our address: that always works, which is why we use letters that cannot be misread.
A customer tapped a star and got an empty box
That is on purpose rather than broken. It happens when we have run out of unused drafts for that rating, because we never show the same words to two people, or when nobody has confirmed any facts about the shop yet. The customer can still type their own and the Google button still works. If it keeps happening, confirm a few more facts on your fact sheet and we will have more to work with.
Can you post reviews for me?
No, and nor can anyone else. Google has no way to let one account post a review as another person. Every review here is written and posted by your customer from their own account. Any product that claims otherwise is describing something that does not exist, and buying it is how a listing gets removed.
Can you hide the bad ones?
No. One star and five star reach Google through the same button, in the same place. Filtering unhappy customers away from the public form is called gating, it is against Google's policies, and it is one of the reliable ways to get a listing penalised. An unhappy customer is also offered a private note to you, which most people take.
Where do the words come from?
Only from facts you ticked on your fact sheet. Not from your category, not from your chain, not from anything we guessed. If a draft says something untrue about your shop, it is because a fact was approved that should not have been, and turning it off retires every draft built on it straight away.
My rating has not changed
Ratings move slowly, and a shop with three hundred reviews needs a lot of new ones to shift the average by a tenth. Watch the review count rather than the average for the first couple of months. If your scans are also near zero, the card is probably behind the till rather than on it, and our month end email will say so.
How do I cancel?
Billing, then Cancel. One button, no phone call, no retention script. Everything works to the end of the period you paid for, and your printed codes keep working after that, permanently. If you are closing for a season rather than leaving, pause instead: it is on the same page and nothing is lost.
Someone else needs access
Add them from the account page. A manager can run the shop and see everything. Only an owner can change or cancel the plan, so give that out carefully.
